Last June there was a meeting of all AquaVitae participating institutions in the city of Tromso in Norway. The AquaVitae project, recently approved by the European Community in the H2020 announcement, has the participation of FURG's PPG in Aquaculture. Professors Luís André Sampaio (PPGAq) and Eduardo Secchi (Pro-Rector) traveled to attend the meeting that marks the beginning of the AquaVitae project activities. On the occasion Sampaio, who coordinates some project activities, introduced FURG and its facilities available under the Project to other AquaVitae partners. This meeting saw the possibility of contacting a large number of European institutions to propose further partnerships with FURG, within the scope of PRINT. The Rector dealt with the establishment of new agreements with two Norwegian institutions (the Norwegian Polar Institute and the University of Tromso).
